City of St. Petersburg Raises the Pride Flag with St Pete Pride
As the event marks a major milestone, organizers say the mission is more critical than ever.
Pride Month officially began in St. Petersburg June 1 as it has for years, with support from local leadership.
When St. Petersburg held its annual Pride Flag raising ceremony Thursday, it was the first time the new administration, and its new faces, were hoisting the flag pole at City Hall.
Mayor Ken Welch and St. Pete Pride board members will join him for the Pride flag raising on the first day of Pride Month, June 1, in downtown St. Pete. Pride is fully back for June 2022.
